Wallington derives its name from “Waletone” meaning village of the Britons, although it is hard to see why it should have earned this name any more than any other village in Surrey. Mentioned in the Domesday Book, and, until the early 20th century, an important centre of lavender production, Wallington also boasts a considerable number of Affordable Granite Worktop installations.
